Last Minute Brown Gravy

This recipe is great, especially for those times when your husband tells you he wants mashed potatoes with beef gravy, and you're cooking chicken...

This brown gravy is made using beef bouillon granules (or cubes) rather than drippings, which is handy if you don't have any beef drippings.

You can add more water if you prefer a thinner gravy.  This is a flavorful gravy that is perfect for those times that you don't have a lot of time since it comes together in about 5 minutes or less!

Last Minute Brown Gravy

Ingredients:

1/4 c. unsalted butter
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp onion powder
4 tsp beef bouillon granules
2 c. boiling water

Directions:

Stir the beef bouillon granules into the boiling water until dissolved.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter.  Add the flour and onion powder and whisk until smooth, cook and stir for one minute.  Add the beef broth and whisk over medium heat until thickened and smooth.

Enjoy!
