Oven Baked Apple Chips

I love apple chips.

So does Bruce.

The only problem is that with how much we love them, they really are not worth the expense.  So what better way to use up some of our apples than to make apple chips?

Since we don't own a dehydrator, our only option was to bake them, and while it is time consuming, it is a great way to work through our major apple supply.

Oven Baked Apple Chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 225.

Core your apples and slice thinly using a mandolin.  You can also use a peeler/corer/slicer for this.

Place apples on a silpat or parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Bake for 1 hour.  Turn slices and bake an additional hour.

If the apples are not as crisp as you would like, add additional baking time.

Enjoy!
