Pizza Crust

I've been meaning to make and post this pizza crust recipe for literally 2 months now.

But something always seemed to come up, so I never ended up making it.  So I finally made it last night, and while the lighting isn't amazing (I will ultimately update the picture at some point, I am sure), the pizza was phenomenal!  And as we all know, the crust can make or break a pizza.

This crust isn't overly dense and chewy like some can be, it's fluffy on the inside and just perfect!

Pizza Crust

Ingredients:

1 cup warm water
2 tsp yeast
2 Tbs honey
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbs olive oil
2 1/4 c. bread flour

Directions:

In your mixer (or food processor (I used my Ninja)), combine your yeast, honey, salt, and warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to activate.

Mix in the olive oil and half the flour.  Once the flour is completely mixed in, add the remaining flour and mix until the dough forms and is easy to handle.  I flour my hands and knead it a couple times as well.

Spray a bowl with cooking spray.  Place the ball of dough in the bowl, lightly spray the top of the dough with the cooking spray and cover the bowl with plastic wrap.

Allow the dough to rise for 2 hours, or until it has almost doubled in size.

Roll your dough out, or spread out with your hands (which I did) on a cookie sheet or pizza stone sprinkled with some corn meal.

Prepare your pizza to your liking.

Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.

Enjoy!
