Eggnog Syrup

Hold onto your hats!

This Eggnog Syrup is slap-me-silly good!  At least I think so, and really, what other endorsement do you need when it comes to something made with eggnog?

The syrup is silky smooth, and is super easy to make.  If you have ever made buttermilk syrup, you can totally whip up a batch of this syrup in no time flat!

Eggnog Syrup

Ingredients:

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. eggnog
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

In a medium sauce pan (yes, medium, it will froth up and make a big mess if you use a small one) melt butter over medium heat.  Add eggnog, nutmeg and sugar, and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Remove from heat.  Add baking soda and vanilla.  Now is when it will froth up and get all sorts of delicious!

Pour it over pancakes, waffles, French toast, biscuits, ice cream, you name it!

Enjoy!
