Bird's Nests

These little springtime-inspired treats are simply too cute for words!

I have seen similar treats on blogs before, typically made with peanut butter or butterscotch, neither of which are my favorite of things.  My first impression of the whole idea was to make the little cuties with nutella.  And that is exactly what I did.

These little bird's nests are made with chow mein noodles, chocolate, nutella, and cute little Cadbury's mini eggs for a chocolatey, crunchy treat that is utterly adorable!

Bird's Nests

Ingredients:

12 oz milk chocolate chips
1/4 - 1/3 c. Nutella
6 oz. crispy chow mein noodles
Cadbury's mini eggs (or M&M's, or whatever you like)

Directions:

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips.  Stir in the Nutella until smooth.  Using a rubber spatula, fold in the chow mein noodles until they are completely covered.

Drop by spoonful onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.  If you can, create a small depression in the middle and press your mini eggs in the depression.

Refrigerate to harden the chocolate.

Enjoy!
